Introduction of U-Homes-2012

For many years researchers have been working to create a smart home. Initially researchers have focused on developing a technical infrastructure and explored issues around user input. However, more recently people have begun exploring how technical augmentation of the home can improve the quality of people’s lives. In the home of the future, Home automation technology is becoming as synonymous with sustainability as it is with convenience. Incorporating smart home technology into a new or existing structure makes it easier to reduce energy consumption and the carbon footprint a home or business creates. People could enjoy save energy and green their home using home automation. The purpose of U-Homes-2012 is to provide a world-class meeting place for information exchanges and trade fair for promoting Smart home novel technologies.
