The 2nd Annual MarineTech Summit-2011 (MTS-2011) is an event for professionals involved in maritime science and technology. It aims to offer them a multidisciplinary platform to discuss the latest advances in research and the current industry standards. Participants will explore the different research, business and investment activities occurring throughout the global marine technology community.

After half a year's preparation, under the great efforts by organizing committee members and our respectable SAB Members, BIT’s 2nd Annual World MarineTech Summit was held in Busan, South Korea during March 23-25, 2011, there were participants from more than 20 countries and areas have attended the MTS-2011.
As the keynote speakers, Mr. Peter Hinchliffe, Secretary General, International Chamber of Shipping & International Shipping Federation, UK; Mr. Oh Kong Gyun, Chairman and CEO of The Korean Register of Shipping (KR); Chairman of Association of Asian Classification Societies (ACS), South Korea; Mr. Noboru Ueda, Chairman and President, Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK), Japan; Dr. Henning Kinkhorst (Presenter: Mr. Volker Hoeppner), Consulting Director, FutureShip GmbH, Germany; Dr. Xiaosen Li, Professor & Chief Scientist, The Center of Gas Hydrate Research, Key Laboratory of Renewable Energy and Gas Hydrate, Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, The Chinese Academy of Sciences, China made excellent presentations and warmly discussed with the audiences at keynote forum.

BIT's 1st Annual World MarineTech Summit (MTS-2010) was hold successfully during October 26-28, 2010 at Dalian World EXPO Center, China. MTS-2010 had obtained highly focus and extensive attentions throughout the world. Participants in excess of 200 from 27 countries delivered the new achievement on their research and together discussed the development of maritime technology.

Tech Tour
South Korea is a beautiful country with over 5,000 years of history. All of its historical sites have been preserved for future generations to enjoy. Important buildings, stone pagodas, lanterns and other sculpture pieces are known as National Treasures and have been numbered. MTS-2011 will arrange a two day tour to some of the most scenic spots near Busan including: the Korean Paper Museum, Hahoe Village, Byeongsan Seowan, Bongjeongsa, Jirye Art Village, Seokguram Grotto, Bulguksa Temple, Gyeongiu National Museum, Anapji Pond, Cheomsengdae, Observatory, and Tumuli Park.
