On behalf of the host organization and the Organizing Committee of BIT’s 2nd Annual World Congress of Agricultural Biotechnology (WCAB-2012), I take great pleasure in extending my warm welcome to all the participants from all over the world.
BIT’s 2nd Annual World Congress of Agricultural Biotechnology is hosted by Information Research Center of International Talent, SAFEA with the support of China Council for the Promotion International Trade Dalian Sub-council, and it is operated by BIT Congress Inc., the Foreign Experts Databank of SAFEA-Dalian Biotechnological and Medical Experts Subdivision.
Agricultural biotechnology is an advanced technology that allows plant breeders to make precise genetic changes to impart beneficial traits to the crop plants we rely on for food and fiber. The safe and appropriate use of biotechnology to help to meet agricultural challenges and consumer needs of the 21st century is extremely important for human beings. Therefore, WCAB-2012 will bring together industry leaders, investors, policy makers, scientists, researchers and other professionals working in the area of AgBio and discuss the latest scientific advances in agricultural biotechnology and future directions of the technologies.
This major international event will be held in Dalian, one of China’s most beautiful coastal cities. After the conference you are welcome to join one of the tour routes to experience the culture and enjoy the food in some of the most famous regions of China.
