Welcome Message

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee for BIT's 1st Annual World Congress of Emerging Infotech-2012 (WCEIT-2012) with the theme "Welcome 3rd Wave Revolution of IT/ICT industry", which is being held during August 28-30, 2012 at Hotel Nikko Dalian, China. Under the auspices of Information Research Center of International Talents (SAFEA), six parallel conferences have been programmed at the same venue, which include:

  • BIT's 1st Annual World Congress of Cloud Computing 2012 (CloudCon-2012),
  • BIT's 1st Annual World Congress of Cultural & Creative IT Industry 2012 (CCI-2012),
  • BIT's 2nd Annual World Congress of U-World-2012,
  • BIT's 2nd Annual International Congress of U-Home 2012
  • BIT's 1st Annual World Congress of IT Outsourcing 2012 (ITO2012).


WCEIT-2012 is BIT Congress' first attempt on organizing IT/ICT events. The goal is to expand the information services by updating the new technological development and market trend in the rapid changing IT/ICT world. We start from above six hot areas to present the current expert opinions on how to allow our IT fellows to catch the wave of new technologies for the future development and how to integrate the international resources for large to small business to seeking new growth in such a challenging economic environment. Next year, we will help Dalian Government to implant WCEIT into the China International Software & Information Service Fair 2013. We also plan to reprogram the future IT events through focusing on the business development and matchmaking in both technologies, products and talent search.

IT and ICT is being become a pillar industry in Dalian, where government is working hard to promote developing emerging technologies in the related fields. So far, Dalian has more than 1000 software and all kind IT/ICT companies including 50 SP500 corporations, 400 foreign invested companies, and about 88,000 full time employees who contribute the local GDP up to RMB 50 billion Yuan with more than 80 times of growth in the past decade. There for the city welcome all kind of collaborations. I believe such initiative event organized by BIT in the IT sector will be able to bridge western and eastern world to share the intellectual properties for further development. Through such a new information channel, we hope to enhance international collaboration, business development and talent transfer.    

Finally, I highly appreciate all your great efforts in bring this dynamic program together. I wish you will have a successful meeting, enjoy the pleasant gathering with friends in Dalian by taking a very good dip in the cool night breeze of sea on a hot summer day.
